In the second-half year 1993, the Engineering Development Bureau was set up; state of the art technology was recognised as the most important strategic element in comprehensive restructuring of the firm.

    On April 30, 1996, the FWP VIS Przedsiębiorstwo Państwowe was transformed into a joint-stock company. The Company continues to manufacture tools, produced earlier, and continuously extends its product range by new items.

    In 1999, the Company was privatized. PZU Życie S.A. and IV NFI Progres S.A. became major shareholders in FWP VIS S.A.

    Further structural transformation took place in 2002 and 2003.

    On December 1, 2002, a company under the style of DIAMENTY-VIS Sp. z o.o. was split-off and in IV quarter-year 2003, a company under the style of VIS Sp. z o.o. was set-up.

    In both Companies, FWP VIS S.A. ("VIS" Inwestycje S.A. after change of style) holds 100% equity.

    Currently, "VIS" Sp. z o.o. offers products of highest quality that can find widely diversified use.

    The following measuring instruments are manufactured: slide calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, depth gauges, height gauges, trasamaters, protractors, straight edges, levels, gauge blocks, gauges, sine bars etc.

    Slide caliper and micrometric instruments are provided with analogue or digital read-out. In instruments with digital read-out, we use "Sylvac" measuring system , allowing direct downloading of data to a computer or printer.

    In "VIS" Sp. z o.o. production and sales programme cutting tools such like gear cutting and hobbing tools, broaches, push-broaches and special purpose tools are included.

    All the above tools are made both in metric and inch systems, in a variety of types and sizes, and are made of best steel used in tool-making.
